P2 Takoyaki in Taguig City Goes Viral Online for Selling the Most Affordable Version
MOST AFFORDABLE TAKOYAKI – The P2 takoyaki in Taguig City goes viral online after it was posted on social media.
Takoyaki is a ball-shaped Japanese snack made of a wheat flour-based batter and cooked in a special molded pan. It is typically filled with minced or diced octopus, tempura scraps, pickled ginger, and minced onion.
The balls are brushed with takoyaki sauce and mayonnaise with green leaves and dried bonito shavings. It was invented by a street vendor named Tomekichi Endo in 1935.
The Facebook page “Sikat na Blager” has shared the video footage of the most affordable takoyaki in Taguig City. The video footage immediately garnered various reactions from the online community.
In the video, it can be seen that a street vendor is selling takoyaki for only P2.00. the cheapest takoyaki comes in three flavors including vegetables, cheese, and hotdog. It has vinegar dipping sauce or a sweet sauce.
The seller can make 2,000 pieces of takoyaki everyday. The unique snack is selling like hotcakes, especially to the students. It is quite different from the traditional takoyaki but it is enough to suppress hunger.
For those who want to try the cheapest takoyaki in the world, they can simply find it at the back of the Taguig City hall of justice in Barangay Upper Bicutan.
