President Marcos Goes After Accidentally Calling QC Mayor Joy Belmonte as “Joy Beltran”
Video of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr where he accidentally called Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte “Joy Beltra” goes viral.
Social media is buzzing about President Marcos’ remarks at a meeting in Quezon City. President Marcos can be heard referring to the mayor of Quezon City as Joy Beltran rather than Joy Belmonte in the aforementioned video.
You can also see Belmonte’s response, who appears taken aback by Marcos’ error. PBBM continued his speech after giggling at his oversight.
“Ang ating butihing alkalde ng Quezon City, Mayor ng Quezon City.. Mayor Joy Beltran,” said Marcos.
His mistake in calling the name of the mayor of Quezon City in a video has gone viral on social media and elicited a range of responses from the online community. Arnold Clavio, a broadcaster for the GMA, also shares his thoughts on the trending video.
Clavio asserts that everyone “mistakes,” including the president. RTVM also has this error made by PBBM deleted. The president’s gaffe was discussed by a lot of online users.
The fact that Marcos did not clarify himself after referring to the mayor by name upset some online users. You may recall that Marcos backed former congressman Mike Defensor in the most recent election rather than Belmonte.
