Fake Dentist Arrested for Performing Drive-Thru Dental Procedure

The police authorities arrested a fake dentist for performing a drive-thru dental procedure in Batangas City.

The operatives from the Philippine National Police-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) Batangas arrested a woman identified as alias Nimfa in a parking lot while doing a drive-thru dental procedure.

CIDG Batangas provides video footage showing the suspect who is about to install braces on a police asset who pretended to be a patient. The cops were able to track down the fake dentist with the help of the Philippine Dental Association.

The braces that were supposed to be placed on the “patient” as well as the dental tools were confiscated by the authorities.

Parokyano ng ating suspek ay within the province of Batangas. Nagta-transact sila online na nakikipagkilala na kaya nga niyang magkabit ng braces. So mae-engganyo naman ang ating mga victims dahil mas mura at pupunta pa sa ‘yo,” a police official said.

Campaign Against Illegal Practice-PDA Deputy Chair Dra. Narisa Ragos explained that the lady suspect will face charges of violation of Republic Act 9484 or the Philippine Dental Act of 2007.

The culprit may face a jail term of two to five years or a fine worth P200 to P500,000.

The fraud dentist revealed that she learned how to install braces from tutorial videos she watched online. Nimfa regrets her actions and reminded the public not to engage in dental malpractice.

“Sana huwag na nilang gawin ‘yung mali kasi ganito ang mangyayari sa kanila,” alias Nimfa said.
