Herlene Budol Reveals She Was Chased By Police W/ Guns Prior To Leaving Uganda
HERLENE BUDOL – Kapuso star and beauty queen Herlene Budol revealed that police with guns chased her prior to leaving Uganda.
When Herlene Nicole “Hipon Girl” Budol joined Binibining Pilipinas in 2022, her popularity soared. She finished first runner-up with seven major awards.
Many people were shocked when she joined Bb. Pilipinas feature poised and eloquent women. She was slated to represent the Philippines in Miss Planet International in Uganda, but the competition had to be postponed because of unforeseen issues.
A few days after she arrived, Herlene Budol and her team made the decision to withdraw from the competition because of “uncertainties by organizers.” The delegates’ team reportedly had to make their own hotel reservations in Uganda and was not provided with meals or lodging throughout the trip.
Hipon was seen sobbing as she pleaded with the pageant’s organizers to let them go home in a vlog shared by her talent manager Wilbert Tolentino.
In a previous article, the 23-year-old celebrity revealed that she suffered from alopecia during her Bb. Pilipinas 2022 stint. She claimed that it got worse after the passing of her grandmother and throughout her Miss Planet International 2022 journey.

In Nelson Canlas’ interview with her, Herlene Budol revealed that police with guns chased her prior to leaving Uganda. She recounted the events in the video that her manager Wilbert Tolentino first shared in his vlog.
The beauty queen said, she was allegedly chased by the police with a gun in Uganda because of their misunderstanding with the owner of the van who was also one of those who were not paid by the alleged organizer of the pageant. She said she actually passed out in the car after leaving the hotel where the other candidates were left.
The owner of the car, Joshua, explained to the police that Herlene Budol was not among those who checked in at the hotel and that she wanted to go home to where she was actually staying. When she got out, Herlene was allegedly chased by two armed policemen.
“Paglabas ko, siguro ‘yung ibang pulis, hindi nasabihan. Hinabol ako ng maraming may baril. Dalawa po ‘yung humabol sa ‘kin na may mahabang [baril],” she said.
“Sabi ‘hold on, hold on.’ Sabi ko sa sarili ko, ‘parang ito na ata katapusan ko.’ Akala ko sa pelikula ko lang [mapapanood ‘to. Nag-flashback sa ‘kin lahat,” Herlene added.
