Rabiya Mateo Fires Back At Netzen Who Called Her ‘Cheap’

RABIYA MATEO – Beauty queen Rabiya Mateo released a video responding to a netizen who called her ‘cheap’

Pinay model and beauty queen Rabiya Mateo represented the country in the 69th Miss Universe pageant held on May 16, 2021, in Florida, USA. She placed in the top 21.

After her Miss Universe stint, she made appearances in a number of television programs until formally signing a deal with the Kapuso network last November 18. She showcased her acting talent on the television shows “Wish Ko Lang” and “Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho.”

In a previous article, Rabiya Mateo, who stars in the acting-drama series “Agimat ng Agila” on the Kapuso network, impressed her fans with a video she posted on Instagram. The video demonstrates Rabiya’s tenacity when performing stunts. Aside from acting, she also ventured into hosting. She co-hosts the variety show TikToClock with Pokwang and Kuya Kim Atienza.

Just recently, the 26-year-old Ilongga beauty queen responded to a comment made by a netizen. Rabiya even made a TikTok video to address the basher’s remark and it has gone viral immediately.

The netizen told Rabiya Mateo that she “looks cheap.” Furthermore, the actress handled the rude comment with class that’s why she gained praise from netizens.

In the caption of the post, she wrote: “In a world full of bullies, be kind.”

Rabiya Mateo said that this is the first time she has addressed a harsh comment in a video. She also informed the netizen that what she did was inappropriate.

“You know what, madam, miss or, hindi ko alam kung paano kita i-a-address. You know what, you can be the most expensive-looking person but if you’re mean or rude, or the way you think or talk to people is not right, I don’t think na I want to be somebody like you. Ako, I’m proud of myself. I’m proud kung paano ako manamit, kung paano ako magsalita, kung paano ako makikapwa tao…”

“At baka isipin nyo po na shini-shame ko kayo because of your age, but hindi po ganon. But I hope, sa edad niyo pong ‘yan, marami na kayong natutunan sa buhay. And you should be a good example to your family, to your kids, to your apo kung meron ka na po. Dahil hindi ganyan dapat mag-act sa social media. Marami na po kayong pinagdaanan sa buhay, I’m sure of that. And sana you chose to be a good person na makaka-inspire ng ibang tao ‘di ba? Pero sige, bigay ko na lang po ‘yon sa inyo. If I look cheap, pasensya na po. Pero I will never be somebody like you,” said Rabiya.
