Rabiya Mateo Tries Her Luck As TV Host
RABIYA MATEO – Miss Universe Philippines 2020 Rabiya Mateo said she is excited about her new journey as the host of Kapuso Network.
Filipina-Indian model Rabiya Mateo represented the Philippines in the 69th Miss Universe pageant held on May 16, 2021, in Florida, USA. She ended her journey in the prestigious pageant in the top 21.
Following her Miss U stint, she appeared in several tv shows until she officially signed a contract with the Kapuso network last November 18. She showed off her acting skills on ‘Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho’ and ‘Wish Ko Lang.’
Rabiya Mateo is part of the tv network’s acting-drama series “Agimat ng Agila.” In a previous article, she impressed her fans with a video she uploaded on her Instagram account. The video shows Rabiya’s fierceness in executing stunts.
Aside from acting, the Ilongga beauty queen also ventured into hosting. During the virtual mediacon of TikToClock on July 12, 2022, PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) asked Rabiya how excited she was about her very first hosting stint on GMA-7.

TikToClock is Kapuso network’s new game show that will begin airing on July 25, 2022, from Monday to Friday at 11:15 a.m., before Eat Bulaga. Rabiya Mateo will host the show alongside Pokwang and Kuya Kim Atienza.
According to Rabiya, even before she entered showbusiness, she really wanted to be a host because she was inspired by one of her friends. “Gusto ko rin gawin yung hosting. Kasi as a person, I’m very madaldal po talaga,” she said.
Rabiya Mateo said it’s a big thing for her that she is one of the chosen hosts of TikToClock because here she can show who she really is.
“Dito ko nalalabas yung kulit ko and yung other side na hindi nila nakita dati.
“Because as a beauty queen, theres a streotype na ganito ka lang. Pag iba na yung ginawa mo, hindi ka na beauty queen. Here in TikToClock, I can be myself, I can be funny, I can make fun of my mistakes…
“Ayun yung light na side nun, kasi nakikita nila si Rabiya na totoong tao,” she added.
The 25-year-old celebrity said she is also very grateful to her co-hosts Pokwang and Kuya Kim. Even off-cam, the two show their love and concern for her.
