Kris Aquino Pens Emotional Message For Ninoy Aquino

For Ninoy Aquino’s 90th birthday, Kris Aquino has this message.

KRIS AQUINO – For the 90th birthday of late former senator Ninoy Aquino, Kris Aquino penned this emotional message and shares it online.

In 2004, Republic Act No. 2956 declaring August 21 of every year as “Ninoy Aquino Day” has been signed into law. It is a national non-working holiday, “in order to commemorate the death anniversary of former Senator Benigno ‘Ninoy’ S. Aquino Jr”.

Former Senator Benigno ‘Ninoy’ S. Aquino Jr. or Ninoy Aquino was a prominent Philippine journalist and politician. He was the mayor of Concepcion, provincial vice governor, and provincial governor in the province of Tarlac.

He was the major political rival of President Ferdinand Marcos and was among the first to be arrested when Congress was abolished and martial law was declared in 1972.

He is the father of Kris Aquino and the first person to believe that she will achieve her dream to become an “artista”. In an Instagram post, as she pays tribute to her father for his 90th birthday, she did not fail to mention how her father believed in her dreams.

Kris started her narrative by saying that she can possibly never forget him as she is his female version.

In the same post, she started asking him about the diseases she acquired. She wrote, “My genetic testing cleared me for all types of cancer (thank you God) but 2 of my life threatening autoimmune issues have an effect on blood flow, heart, and lung function…bimb at 15, already has high cholesterol issues.”

And even though she experienced having him as a father for a short span of time, they were able to make special moments together.

She believes he was a great writer and speaker but he is best at being a father. He also has this unselfish love for the people.

“Subukan mang baguhin ang kwento ng kahapon, it’s from you i learned to NEVER show anger, NEVER reveal your weakness,” she added.
