Netizens Slam Female Thief Stealing Mobile Phone of Sleeping Cashier
TAGUIG, PHILIPPINES – A female thief has been caught on camera stealing the mobile phone of a sleeping cashier in Taguig City.
Nowadays, robbery has been one of the major problems not only in the Philippines but also in various regions all around the world. Some criminals have no choice but to commit crimes due to lack of job opportunities.
The Philippine government is implementing stricter policy but the crimes continue to exist behind the knowledge of the authorities. The rate of criminality continue to increase despite the stricter rules and regulations.
Earlier this week, a cashier sleeping at the store in Brgy. Pinagsama, Taguig City where she is working. A lady customer entered the establishment while holding a paper bill trying to buy some goods from the store.
The female suspect noticed that the cashier identified Roselyn Campos is sleeping peacefully. She observed her surroundings and stealthily took the store owner’s mobile phone and immediately leave the area.
Campos and her colleague did not notice the suspect identified as Joy Ann Adeva alias “Daday”. The barangay officials were able to locate the culprit’s address in Brgy. Usuan. However, the authorities did not find her.
According to Barangay Usuan Chief Tanod Arthur Reyes, alias Daday has been already involved in several robbery incidents prior to the viral incident.
“May mga ibang record po yan katulad ng Ocober 12 may kinuhang sinampay yan ng kapitbahay pulis pa yung may-ari kaya ang kaso po niyan eh nasa luko na namin, ito po yung bago yung November 14, sa kabilang barangay tumira yan pero taga dito po yan,” Reyes said.
Campos also urged the suspect to return her phone containing her important contacts.
