Is it true that Yassi Pressman is set to transfer to GMA?
Actress-host Yassi Pressman refused to talk about her rumored transfer to the Kapuso network when she was asked about this during a recent interview.
Yassi became a part of the long-running Kapamilya series Ang Probinsyano as the leading lady of Coco Martin. For many years, her character Alyana became a household name. Because of that stint in the primetime series, Yassi’s acting career was boosted.
Just recently, an art card that GMA Network shared caught the attention of many netizens and Kapuso fans. The art card featured a silhouette of a woman with the text: “Yas she’s back!”
Netizens who commented on this post guessed that the Kapuso network is teasing Yassi Pressman’s return to GMA. Years ago, the actress-host did several shows on the Kapuso network.
In a recent interview for her stint as the new calendar of Ginebra for 2023, the actress-host was asked about her rumored network transfer. Based on the article by entertainment columnist Salvi Asis in Pang-Masa, Yassi refused to give any comment on this rumor.
She also said that she has not seen the art card that GMA posted that garnered speculations that it was for her. Rumor has it that she will play the role of Estela in the television remake of the classic Viva film Saan Nagtatago ang Pag-ibig which featured Vilma Santos, Ricky Davao, and Tonton Gutierrez.
Meanwhile, in an interview on Toni Talks, Yassi opened up about her showbiz journey. She shared that at the age of six, she became the breadwinner of their family. From being a child star doing TV commercials, she became a dancer and actress as she continued to support her family’s needs, especially when her father got sick.
