Missing Grade 12 Ateneo Student Found Dead and Wrapped in a Sack in Camarines Sur
Police authorities discovered the dead body of a Grade 12 Ateneo student who allegedly went missing for 3 days in Camarines Sur.
The body of the Ateneo de Naga University student who went missing has been discovered. It was reportedly discovered in Zone 3, Jacob Street, Barangay Cadlan in the town of Pili, Camarines Sur, in a grassy area.
Irish Mae M. Payonga, 18, who has been missing for three days, was found dead in a vacant lot, according to her relatives. The victim lives in Brgy. Zone 1. Marupit, Camaligan, Camarines Sur, and an Ateneo De Naga University student in Grade 12.
The victim’s aunt, Edna Manguid, acknowledged the identity of the deceased person in a Facebook post. Recall that the victim vanished on October 28 and that she is believed to have taken a bus to Pili town to attend an event.
The body was discovered by two young minors, who discovered it unclothed and merely covered with a sack. The pedicab driver, 18, who is claimed to be the suspect in the incident, was detained by the authorities.
The suspect named Reymark Belleza is now being held in the Pili Municipal Police Station. The “person of interest” admitted that he robbed the senior high school student after killing and harassing her. The Pili Police declare the case to be closed following the confession of the accused.
The victim was seen riding the suspect’s pedicab on a copy of the CCTV camera, which forced the suspect to confess. The victim was supposed to be going to the Provincial Capitol Complex to attend their church meeting, but she never showed up and disappeared for three days.
A denim jacket, a pair of sneakers, a watch, a necklace with a pendant, a red sling bag with a hair clip, and two used condoms were all found at the crime scene. According to police, the suspect stole the victim’s cellphone and had it formatted at a computer store which was located using the CCTV footage.
