Kapamilya actor Gerald Anderson has this reaction when asked about rumors linking him to his leading ladies.
Throughout his career in the entertainment industry, Gerald already had relationships with fellow celebrities. Right now, he is in a relationship with actress Julia Barretto. Despite being public about their relationship, Gerald is still being linked to his leading ladies.
Gerald was linked to Kapuso actress Kylie Padilla when they did the movie Unravel in Switzerland. It was alleged that the actress got pregnant. Kylie denied the speculations about her and Gerald. However, she admitted that this rumor made her uncomfortable and she got worried that people might believe this.
When Gerald Anderson answered this issue, he said that if Kylie Padilla is pregnant, then, people should wait after nine months to prove their claim. Rumors also surfaced linking Gerald to his A Family Affair leading lady Ivana Alawi.
In a recent interview, based on the article in The Philippine Star, the actor was asked to react to rumors linking him romantically to his leading ladies. He said that this is inevitable but he now has a different reaction to this than what he had before.
“Feeling ko hindi mawawala ‘yan, honestly. Pero hindi na ganyan ang effect sa akin. Dati [kapag may narinig ako], ‘Ha? Totoo ba ‘yan?’. Ngayon, hindi na,” the actor said.
For him, these kinds of issues are funny but he is also aware that this can have negative implications. “Minsan natatawa na lang, natatawa ako talaga,” he said. Gerald also stressed that he has no control over fans who would just link him to his leading ladies.
The actor said that he somehow got used to this kind of scenario. Then, Gerald Anderson jokingly said that he is waiting for rumors that would link him to his A Family Affair co-star Sam Milby who is now in a relationship with Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray.
