National ID Philippines: PSA Reveals Reason Behind Delayed Printing

NATIONAL ID PHILIPPINES – The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) revealed the reason behind the delayed printing of the national ID.

Many Filipinos still await their PhilSys National ID while others have already received it delivered right at their house or their barangay hall. Recently, the PSA broke its silence regarding the delay in the printing of the national ID. Based on a report on GMA News, PSA cited the influx of the registrants in PhilSys as the reason behind the delay in the printing of the national ID. The agency stressed that they did not expect the “high volume” of registrants which reached around 74.28 million Pinoys as of October 17. Based on the report, at the same event, Information and Communications Undersecretary Dennis Villorente expressed that the backlog in the printing can be addressed in four (4) months.
