Registration Process for PhilSys National ID & the Target Releasing

PHILSYS NATIONAL ID – Here is an update on the registration process and the releasing of the PhilSys National ID.

One of the things that the Duterte Administration wants to accomplish is a national ID for the Filipinos. Identification cards are important in almost all transactions across the globe.

Some of the common scenarios that require a valid ID is applying for a loan, claiming a remittance, and availing certain benefits from insurance institutions. It is not that easy to process things most especially if you do not have at least two (2) valid IDs.

Meanwhile, a national ID is coming soon and its registration have already started. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the total number of people who has registered for the National ID has already reached 7.5 million.

In the Step 1 of the PhilSys National ID registration process, the target registration is nine (9) million before 2020 ends. It already includes the interview and the getting of the demographic information.

The Step 2 of the process targets the getting of the biometric data of at least five million of those who have registered in the first step. Based on the report, the said data includes fingerprint and iris scanning. It is also set before 2020 ends.

The biometric data of the rest of those who have registered will be taken in January 2020. Those who have finished the two steps before 2020 ends may be able to claim their PhilSys National ID by January.

The person will have his own PhillD Card Number (PCN Number) ang QR Code. It can be used even without the presence of the ID.
