Aiko Melendez received a question about her love life
Actress Aiko Melendez was asked if she is open to getting married for the third time in a recent interview for her new series Flower Sisters.
The said series is part of the Mano Po Legacy. Through this, Aiko had the chance to work with Beauty Gonzalez. Their afternoon dramas in the past were rivals. Aiko starred in the Kapuso series Prima Donnas and Beauty was one of the stars of Kadenang Ginto.
Working together in a series, Aiko said that it was easy for her to jibe with Beauty, based on the article in The Philippine Star. “We exchange stories about love life, di ba kasi s’yempre married s’ya,” Aiko Melendez said. Beauty tied the knot with Norman Crisologo in 2017.
“We exchange stories about love life, di ba kasi s’yempre married s’ya,” Aiko shared. When asked if she sees herself getting married again, the actress said that she hopes that this will happen before she reaches 50 because she said that time should be considered.
Aiko’s marriage with Jomari Yllana legally ended in 2004. They had a son named Andre. In 2006, she tied the knot with her second husband Martin Jickain to whom she had a daughter named Marthena. Aiko and Martin’s marriage was annulled in 2010.
Currently, Aiko Melendez is in a relationship with Zambales first district representative Jay Khonghun. This coming October 28, the actress said that they will be celebrating their 5th anniversary.
“I have found in him everything I wanted in a guy and what’s more important is that he gets along so well with my children. So, I feel so blessed. But of course, when it comes to that (wedding proposal), it’s not right to come from me, ako ‘yung babae,” the actress said about her current love life.
Then, she was asked if she would be having another baby, and the actress has this funny answer, “I still have my period, hahaha!” She added that right now, she is thinking about freezing her eggs because of ther “madangdang lahi.”
