2 Former Cops Breaking Into a Home in Cavite Province Arrested

Authorities arrested two (2) former cops for breaking into a home and stealing a P1 million worth of jewelry in Cavite Province.

A manhunt operation was conducted resulting in the arrest of two former policemen after breaking into a couple’s home province of Cavite. Based on the report, they allegedly stole more than P1-M worth of jewelry from the victim’s home.

The Cavite Police Provincial Office identified the suspects as Franklin Menor and John Carl Machon. Based on the report of the Cavite Police Provincial Office, Menor was arrested in Fairview, Quezon, and a .45 caliber gun with 10 rounds of ammunition was taken from his possession.

Around 4:00 PM, Machon was subsequently arrested in Novaliches, Quezon City, and was found with a caliber .9mm pistol with 9 bullets. The two suspects were both identified in the report as former police officers.

But no information was provided regarding the specifics of their termination from the police department. On Tuesday night the suspects along with 4 others robbed the house of Abner Santos and Josie in Barangay Santiago, General Trias City.

The couple was tied up and Abner’s caliber 9mm pistol and various types of jewelry worth P1-M were stolen. The suspects quickly fled in a white van. The police investigation continues for the identity of the four escapees while the dismissal of Menor and Machon has not been detailed.
