Ruby, Tom Rodriguez Meet in California amid Actor’s Showbiz Hiatus
TOM RODRIGUEZ – The Kapuso actor was reunited with his cousin, former Eat Bulaga host Ruby Rodriguez, in California.
Amid the rumors early in 2022 that Tom Rodriguez and Carla Abellana separated a few months since their wedding in October 2021, the Kapuso actor flew abroad to be with his family. There were different allegations thrown against him and his ex-wife amid the rumors on why they broke up.
Tom and Carla were together for at least five (5) years before they officially tied the knot. They were also on-screen partners who worked opposite each other on several hit television series of the GMA-7 network. They’re collectively called “TomCar” by their fans and supporters.
However, both Carla and Tom have confirmed that they have seperated. The actor has yet to return to the country but his fans are getting updates about him as he is active on social media again after a short hiatus.
Recently, Tom Rodriguez was reunited with his cousin, former Eat Bulaga host Ruby Rodriguez, in California. The former host of the Kapuso network’s noontime variety show has moved to California since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.
In her Instagram post, Ruby expressed her happiness to see Tom who she called “my boy”. She also expressed her longing for his presence and her prayers for his peace and happiness as she ended her post with “#lifegoeson”.
In a comment, Tom responded and expressed his love for his “Ate Ruby” and his happiness that he got a chance to see her in California. Here’s the former Eat Bulaga host’s Instagram post:
Both Tom and Carla were mum on the reason behind their separation. Their split left countless hearts broken and he is thankful to GMA-7 for understanding the situation and allowing him to be with his family abroad. It is no secret to the public that most of his family, if not all, are abroad and they only went home in October for his wedding.
