The Father of Carla Abellana has spoken about the actress’s breakup with Tom Rodriguez
Seasoned actor Rey PJ Abellana shared that his daughter Kapuso actress Carla Abellana has not opened up yet about her breakup with Kapuso actor Tom Rodriguez.
The breakup of Carla and Tom created a loud buzz in showbiz. Several controversies surfaced from both camps. This is one of the most talked-about showbiz breakups these recent months because of the heavy words that Tom and Carlat threw against each other.
In a recent interview, based on the article in Balita, Rey admitted that he is still hoping for reconciliation between the former couple. This is despite the fact that Tom announced already that he and Carla are now divorced.
During the same interview, the seasoned actor shared that he and Carla Abellana haven’t talked about this issue yet. “Hangang ngayon hindi pa rin nag-o-open up kasi ang ang anak ko sa akin kaya hindi pa rin ako klarong kasagutan sa mga tanong diyan,” Rey PJ Abellana said.
He also said that as a father, he wants the former couple to iron out whatever conflict they have. Rey wants this to happen because Tom and Carla have already reached the point of tying the knot. “Iba na ‘yung level na ‘yun na agad-agad masisira lang. May vows ‘yan eh,” the seasoned actor added.
Rey also said that he considers Tom a son, and as a father, he wants them to have an “intact” relationship until the end. On the other hand, Rey PJ Abella acknowledges the fact that the decision is still up to Carla and Tom. He also said that if the cheating accusations against Tom Rodriguez are true, then, he will understand the decision of Carla Abellana to end the relationship.
The seasoned actor once again stressed the vow that the former couple had when they got married. “May promises na ‘yan. May vows ‘yan eh, dapat i-prioritize niya yun,” the father of the Kapuso actress said.
