Relatives of Guy Beaten Up in Manila Retaliate Against Assailants
The CCTV camera along Malate captured a group of men beating a young guy, and the victim’s relatives retaliate against the attackers.
The closed-circuit television (CCTV) caught the intense commotion between two groups who have a long-standing grudge against each other. The chaotic incident lasted for a couple of minutes.
In the video, it can be seen that a group of five men onboard two motorcycles followed two cyclists along Barangay 719 Zone 78 in Leveriza, Malate. The group mercilessly beats one of the victims.
The suspects punched, kicked, and even hit the victim with a hard object. The group immediately run away to escape. Unfortunately, one of the suspects was left and got cornered by the relatives of the victims.
Some residents and relatives of the victims took revenge and retaliates by beating the attacker. The brawl lasts for almost a minute and just stopped after the barangay officials arrive at the area.
“Nagkaroon sila ng dating alitan, ‘yan nilusob yung nakita nila akala nila nag-iisa. Sinakal nila pagkatapos sakalin pinukpok pa,” barangay chairman Jaime Adriano said.
Both camps faced each other at the barangay hall. The two groups have settled the issue and agreed not to file a complaint. However, the groups refused to give a statement regarding the incident.
The barangay personnel will coordinate with the local government unit of the area wherein the incident happened. The parents of suspects and victims will be summoned for a clarification.
