PAGASA Says PH Expects Fair Weather Condition on Thursday (October 6, 2022)

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the intertropical convergence zone will be the dominant weather condition in the country.

On Thursday (October 6, 2022), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) released the latest weather update in the country. The ITCZ will affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA reported that the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will be affecting Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao. Fair weather is expected over Metro Manila and most parts of the rest of Luzon and the Visayas.

The ITCZ will bring cloudy weather condition with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Northern Samar, Eastern Visayas, Palawan including Kalayaan Islands.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms is expected over over Bicol region, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, and Romblon as well as rest of Visayas and Occidental Mindoro.

“Sa kasalukuyan, patuloy na umiiral [ang ITCZ] sa bahagi ng Eastern Visayas, Palawan, at buong Mindanao. As early as madaling araw, may thunderstorm activity na nararanasan ang mga mga kababayan natin dito sa Zamboanga Peninsula” Pagasa weather forecaster Daniel James Villamil said.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao will be slight to moderate, according to the weather agency.

The weather agency has also warned the residents in the affected areas for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains and during severe thunderstorms.
