Throughout the years, electrocution becomes one of the common causes of death among construction workers and several individuals. Electrical shock could cause mild to severe injury and may even lead to death.
Numerous individuals have died of electrocution in different circumstances. Some people got electrocuted while doing construction jobs while some of them were due to accidents.
The power distribution companies and the authorities were repeatedly reminding the consumers to be more careful when using electricity or any electrical-related activities to prevent electrocution.
The Facebook page “Lakbay Ni D’ZER” has shared video footage of a hardware merchandiser who suffered electrocution while trying to fix an electrical cable. The video garnered various reactions from the online community.
In the video, it can be seen that the hardware employee is hanging on the cable line while suffering electrocution. The victim’s body is shaking and could not get himself out of the wire as he stands on the ladder.
One of his fellow employees tried to rescue him but the crowd stopped him because he might get electrocuted. After a few moments, the other workers turned off the main switch and rescued the victim.
The incident reportedly happened at Citi Hardware Cabanatuan. The netizens lambasted the management for instructing the merchandiser to perform electrical works, which is out of his line of work.
