Lovi Poe is happy about the feedback she has been receiving for her ‘Flower of Evil’ character
Lovi is the lead actress in the said suspense-action series that was based on a South Korean series with the same title. She portrays the character of Iris Castillo-del Rosario, a police officer, and with this, she had to do action sequences, fight scenes, and chase scenes.
Unlike other leading lady roles with handbags in their hands, Lovi’s accessory is a handgun. It is known that Lovi is the daughter of the late Fernando Poe, Jr., also called The King, one of the most prominent action stars in the history of showbiz in the Philippines.
With the genre of her current series, many fans are now calling Lovi “Action Queen” as she did action-packed scenes. In a recent interview, based on the article in Manila Bulletin, the actress said that she is happy to receive positive feedback for her portrayal of the female lead in the series.
“At least for the duration of this series, I fulfilled my dream of being an Action Queen,” Lovi Poe said. She shared that people on the said would call her “LPJ” which is derived from her father’s initials FPJ and sometimes it is “DA Queen.”
“I really enjoyed having that illusion, even if it’s just for a short moment,” the actress said. Lovi also said that she is proud of their show. She is also thankful for having the chance to work with the best production staff, directors, and co-stars.
“I loved working with all my co-actors in the show because they were extremely dedicated to the project, Piolo Pascual, my leading man, was very supportive and encouraging, and so were Paulo Avelino, JC De Vera and the rest of the cast,” the Kapamilya actress said.
Meanwhile, aside from acting, Lovi Poe also embraced the role of a businesswoman as she established her own production company C’est Lovi Productions.
