PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Wednesday (September 28, 2022)
The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the trough of a low-pressure area and habagat will bring scattered rains over parts of the country.
On Wednesday (September 28, 2022), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) released the latest weather update in the country.
The trough of a low-pressure area and southwest monsoon will affect the country’s weather conditions.
PAGASA reported that a low-pressure area located 1,240 kilometers east of extreme Northern Luzon entered the Philippine area of responsibility. It may develop into a tropical depression but it has no direct impact on the country.
However, the LPA may bring cloudy weather conditions with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Zambales, Bataan, Occidental Mindoro, Palawan, Western Visayas eastern Visayas, and Caraga.
“Yung LPA na minomonitor natin ay na sa loob na nga ng area of responsibility, at kaninang alas tres ay huli itong namataan sa 1,240 kilometers silangan ng extreme northern Luzon, at mayroon itong posibilidad na ma-develop into a tropical depression within 48 hours,” Pagasa weather specialist Grace Castañeda said.
The southwest monsoon will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.
The weather agency has also warned the residents in the affected areas for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains and during severe thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, the coastal water conditions over northern and western sections of Luzon will be moderate to rough. The rest of Luzon and the rest of Mindanao will have slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions, according to the weather bureau.
