The Land Transportation Office is an agency of the Philippine government under the Department of Transportation responsible for all land transportation in the Philippines. It is responsible for the inspection and registration of motor vehicles, issuance of licenses and permits, enforcement of land transportation rules and regulations, and adjudication of traffic cases.

The agency has the right to confiscate the driver’s license of those who committed a traffic violation. However, the agency could deputize some officers to implement the same policy.
