Here are the top 3 candidates for Idol Philippines season 2.
IDOL PHILIPPINES – Kice, Khimo Gumatay, and Ryssi Avila are named the Top 3 of this year’s Idol PH and here are their performances.
This year’s judges for Idol PH are Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez, Mr. Pure Energy Gary Valenciano, Parokya Ni Edgar lead vocalist Chito Miranda, and queen of Hugot Songs Moira Dela Torre.
Bryan Chong and Ann Raniel are the two names shaved out from the list of finalists of the Idol Philippines Season 2. From the Top 5, the real-life singing competition is now down in its Top 3.
The top 3 are:
- Kice
- Khimo Gumatay
- Ryssi Avila
Kice was on top of the fifth live gala garnering a 92.63% score – a combined score from the judges and public votes. The hopeful from Guimaras impressed the audience with his rendition of Itchyworms’ “Di Na Muli”.
Judge Chito told him that he may not be the strongest in the competition but he is the most charismatic and he is still his bet this season.
Khimo, on the other hand, sang his own version of “You’re Still The One” and to the ears of Judge Gary, it sounded “so natural”. Making him land in the 2nd spot is the 85.66% combined score.
“Yung ginawa mo ngayon parang di ka nag-aral. Parang natural na natural lang sa’yo. And that’s something I think is such a plus…You prove that, that’s exactly the kind of performer you are — an excellent one,” Valenciano said.
And Ryssi, advancing with a 76.19% score, sang “Nadarang”. Judge Moira expressed that “nothing can stand in the way of a woman with a goal” and she called her “amazing”.
The top 3 will be vying for the title on Sunday, September 18.
