Richard Yap is staying faithful to his wife
Kapuso actor Richard Yap revealed the ways he does in order to avoid having extramarital affairs.
Richard came to the entertainment industry late, unlike many leading men. However, it can’t be denied that his charm is captivating. When he started his acting career, he showed that even though he did not start early, he still deserve a spot in showbiz.
Currently, Richard is part of the Kapuso series Abot Kamay Na Pangarap with Carmina Villarroel and Jillian Ward. In the series, the actor plays the character of Doctor Robert who had an extramarital affair with illiterate Lyneth, Carmina’s character. They have a genius daughter Analyn, Jillian’s character.
Richard Yap, based on the article in Inquirer, shared that he is happy to portray a doctor character in the series. It is because he dreamed of becoming one before. He even took pre-med but his father had a different plan for him.
In the series, the actor also said that the viewers will see a different side of him as an actor. It is because, in his previous projects, his characters were more on the protagonist and righteous side. However, in AKNP, it is different. “This will shock them since my character here is a bit different from the others I’ve played before,” Richard shared.
Since his character in the series had an extramarital affair, the actor was asked how he avoid this kind of thing to happen in real life. He said that he simply stays away from being in this kind of situation.
“By not putting yourself in that position, don’t flirt, don’t show any motives and always make sure that you know your priorities. My priorities are my family and my work, so I always make sure that I don’t do anything to harm them,” Richard Yap stressed.
For those men who refuse to fulfill their responsibilities to their children out of wedlock, the actor said that it would be a decent thing to do if they will be responsible fathers.
When asked about the lesson he learned from his character, the actor that is having a second chance. He said that everyone has the right to redeem themselves after making a mistake.
