K-Pop Star RM of BTS Give Back to Preserve Korean Culture

RM of BTS donates 100 million won to the Overseas Korean Cultural Heritage Foundation for preserving and promoting the Korea cultural heritage.

BTS leader and main rapper RM or also known as Kim Namjoon, is truly a saving grace for his fans and for the people because of his kind heart and love for his country. He gave made a huge amount of donation for “preservation, restoration, and utilization of cultural assets overseas.”

Based on the report of GMA News, the said donation will be used for conserving the hwarots, a traditional clothes worn by royal women in Joseon Dynasty and also for focusing in korean paintings.

The Korean idol also donate huge funds last 2021 but they keep it hidden and confidential. The report also mentioned that, Kim Namjoon is truly into arts as seen also in his social media accounts that he love visiting museums and posted some of his favorite paintings and artworks online.

Meanwhile, his fansclub established a fundraising drive for Museo Pambata to celebrate the birthday of their idol. The fanbase of RM main target of this fund raising is the brainchild of Joon Brides Philippines.

The project, Donate For Youth, aims to sponsor 100 children to attend the reopening of Museo Pambata, the first immersive children’s museum in the nation, which is located on Roxas Boulevard.

The New York Times recently conducted an interview with RM on his passion for art and the significance of supporting South Korean artists because he is so deeply ingrained in the art community.
