Is it true that Matteo Guidicelli had a failed negotiation with GMA?
Rumor has it that actor-host Matteo Guidicelli was planning to transfer to GMA but it was said that his negotiation with the Kapuso network did not push through.
Matteo is now part of TV5’s noontime show Lunch Out Loud. Prior to his stint in the Kapatid network, he was under the management of ABS-CBN. Rumors surfaced in May that the husband of Popstar Royalty Sarah Geronimo will transfer to the Kapuso network.
However, it was also rumored that GMA turned down the project proposal of Matteo. On the other hand, a source denied this. In August, a popular showbiz news outlet reported that it was confirmed that Matteo Guidicelli will be part of the Kapuso morning show Unang Hirit.
However, in a recent episode of Cristy Ferminute, the radio show of veteran showbiz writer Cristy Fermin with Rommel Chika, it was said that the negotiation between Matteo and GMA did not prosper.
“Romel bakit laging nasusulat na mahirap katransaksyon at kausap si Matteo Guidicelli? Siguro ito ‘yung sa GMA na dapat gagawin niyang mga programa, ano?” Cristy said, based on the article in Bandera.
Romel said that he also heard that the actor-host will a TV show on GMA. However, it was said that the negotiation did not go well as Matteo wants a show that is already existing. “Ah, kung baga ‘yung mga pinitch niya kunwari travel show meron na? So, parang walang maisara ‘no? Parang may mga katulad na saka marami siyang hinahanap? At saka masyado raw magastos yata ‘yung mga pini-pitch niyang mga programang gusto niyang gawin,” he shared.
Cristy said that this is the story circulating right now in the world of showbiz. She added that Matteo is a perfectionist. Then, the veteran showbiz writer said that she hopes GMA and Matteo Guidicelli will be able to have an agreement so the actor can do the project that he wants.
