Is it true that Matteo Guidicelli will be a Kapuso soon?
A source clarified that previous rumor saying that GMA turned down the project proposal of actor Matteo Guidicelli who has been a Kapamilya for many years.
Matteo and his wife Popstar Royalty Sarah Geronimo have been under the management of ABS-CBN for many years already. Individually, they had projects in the Kapamilya network.
Just recently, a rumor surfaced claiming that the actor tried to pitch a project to the Kapuso network. However, allegedly, the management of GMA turned down the project proposal of Matteo Guidicelli. The alleged reason for this was the huge amount of budget that the project requires.
It was said that the Kapuso network could not afford the budget that the actor asked for. Following this rumor, Abante entertainment columnist Rose Garcia wrote in her article that there is no truth to this.
“May source kami na nagsabing walang katotohanan na hindi natuloy si Matteo Guidicelli sa GMA-7 para sa show na pini-pitch nito,” the columnist said. The alleged reason is not also true, Garcia’s source clarified.
The source also clarified that there is no meeting that happened yet between the actor and the management of the TV network. It was said that this is yet to happen. If the meeting will have a positive result, there is a possibility that Matteo will be a Kapuso.
Meanwhile, Abante entertainment columnist Joe Barrameda has this striking statement in his article about the wife of Matteo Guidicelli. “Mukhang matutuloy nga ang project. At sure na rin na susunod na nga si Sarah Geronimo, ha!” the columnist said.
Currently, the Popstar Royalty has no show on ABS-CBN. It has been months since her last appearance on ASAP Natin ‘To. She was offered to be one of the judges of Idol Philippines Season 2 but according to comedian-talent manager Ogie Diaz, Sarah turned this down and so Vice Ganda decided to exit as well.
