Bianca Rogoff, Cherie Gil’s daughter with Israeli violinist Rony Rogoff, has penned an emotional letter to her mom on Instagram.

The passing of La Primera Contravida Cherie Gil on August 5, 2022, shocked the Philippine showbiz industry. She’s known for playing Lavinia Arguelles in the blockbuster movie ‘Bituing Walang Ningning.’

She made the decision to keep her illness a secret from others, spending her final months in New York with her children. She shaved her head, sold all her properties in the country, and traveled abroad to be with them.

At the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Cherie Gil was receiving treatment. Many people, including her celebrity friends and fans, were devastated to learn this information about her.

Last week, Cherie’s brother Michael De Mesa took to Instagram to clarify a report saying Cherie was buried in Bukidnon after actor Markus Paterson visited it to pay his respects to the late actress. Michael said he felt the need to correct the “misinformation.”

While Bukidnon was Cherie’s favorite place, Michael said it was not where Cherie was buried. He said most of the remains of her sister were with their family while some were scattered in the province.

“I felt you today, guiding me with your lightness; easing my heart into love and compassion and straying away from negative thoughts. Thank you.”

She continued, “I felt you in the sun. It didn’t rain, which felt rare. then in the laughter of my cousin as we sat sharing a juice. I could feel you and her dad, my uncle, smiling at us. It’s amazing how far we’ve come.

“I feel you now as I write this – with a few tears coming down my face as the American couple next to me laughs while doing a puzzle. I think of your adventurous spirit – your laugh, asking “what’s the plan, Eigenmann!” and saying “aaalright” when you were excited about what we came up with. wanting us to live life with joy and not taking things too seriously.”

Bianca Rogoff said that while losing her mother was painful, she now feels at peace knowing that she is at last free.

She wrote, “It comes in waves but what puts me at ease is knowing the ease you’re feeling now that you are finally free – the true bohemian you always wanted to be.

“Before you passed you told me to go, and so I’m going. with and for you. I love you I love you I love you.”
