Vice Ganda Is “Queen Of MMFF”? Here’s His Reaction To This

This is the reaction of Vice Ganda when told about being the “Queen Of MMFF”.

VICE GANDA – Kapamilya superstar Vice Ganda is dubbed as “Queen Of MMFF” and this is his reaction to the title.

In a previous article, Kapamilya superstar and comedian Vice Ganda expressed that in joining this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF), he gave himself a new assignment. He would want to encourage Filipino families to go out and watch movies of the festival altogether.

To recall, for two years, Vice was absent from the MMFF. He wasn’t able to make movies because of the pandemic and there has been a drastic change in the production and shooting because of the health threat.

But this year, he is back and this time, with the award-winning director Cathy Garcia-Molina and the country’s top content creator and Kapamilya actress Ivana Alawi.

The past MMFF movies of the Kapamilya comedian were all successful grossing hundreds of millions. And with these successes, he is now dubbed the country’s “Queen Of MMFF”.

In past years, he has produced 9 movies with at least Php 330 million in earnings.

He said, “Actually, ang mga tao lang naman ang name-mressure sa isa’t isa. Ako gusto ko lang naman gumawa ng pelikula palagi. Hindi siya pressure for me.”

As for working with CGM, he is now prepared to be “Cathy-fied” – a term coined for artists who have worked with the award-winning director. Tomorrow is not promised and before her retirement and all, he wanted to experience working with her.

Molina is the director of the two highest-grossing films of all time in the Philippines such as “Hello, Love, Goodbye” and “The Hows Of Us”.

In working with Alawi, the comedian also revealed that this is not the first attempt of them to work together. They have an offer last year to do an MMFF but it wasn’t pushed through based on a report from ABS-CBN.

Meanwhile, the four official entries of this year’s MMFF are:
