As much as many are aware, Barretto remained a Kapamilya, one of the few who stayed, despite the shutdown of the network a couple of years ago. The appearance is a part of her movie promotion. She has an upcoming movie entitled Expensive Candy with Carlo Aquino which will hit the theaters on September 14.

As much as many got surprised, many also wondered and got confused. Is she transferring to the network? Is she going to be a Kapuso soon? When will she leave the Kapamilya network?

It turned out the actress appeared merely to promote her new film. She did not mention anything about network switches.
