Ady Cotoco, Pinoy TikTok Content Creator Airs Dismay After Losing P200k Worth of Luxury Items
A Pinoy TikTok content creator lost P200, 000 worth of luxury items after he was victimized by “bukas-maleta” modus.
Nowadays, robbery has been one of the major problems not only in the Philippines but also in various regions all around the world. Some criminals have no choice but to commit crimes due to lack of job opportunities.
The Philippine government is implementing stricter policy but the crimes continue to exist behind the knowledge of the authorities. The rate of criminality continue to increase despite the stricter rules and regulations.
The Filipino TikToker identified as Ady Cotoco lost his luxury items after arriving at Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 from Etihad Airways. The internet personality came from Madrid, Spain, and bought ‘pasalubong’ for his loved ones.
Catoco lost shoes, bags, perfume, and several clothes hidden in his luggage. He is not sure if the robbery happened in the Philippines since someone destroyed the lock of his baggage.
“I was really traumatized kasi for the first time in 23 years that I have been travelling first time siya nangyari sa akin. What if this happens to our fellow Filipinos na talagang pinaghirapan nila ‘yung perang ‘yun, binili nila for their loved ones and big la na lang ninakaw ng ibang tao,” Catoco said.
Ady was still confused if the modus happened in Madrid, Abu Dhabi, or the Philippines. He immediately reported the incident to the management of NAIA and Etihad Airways. Etihad is already investigating the incident.
“We are aware of this case and the team is looking into it and investigating the matter,” the Airways said.
The Public Information Office of Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) has yet to release a statement regarding the incident.
