Kris Aquino To Undergo Chemotherapy, Clarifies It’s Not Cancer

Here’s a health update from Kris Aquino months after her silence.

KRIS AQUINO – At the edge of having her 5th autoimmune disease, Kris Aquino shares this health update on Instagram.

In a previous article, Maria Elena “Ballsy” Aquino revealed that amid treatments, her sister Kris Aquino developed two more autoimmune diseasess. Before flying abroad, she was diagnosed with three autoimmune diseases and was diagnosed with the 4th one in Houston, Texas.

She was diagnosed with chronic spontaneous urticaria, autoimmune thyroiditis, and vasculitis, or late stage 3 of Churg Strauss Syndrome. She did not disclose her fourth diagnosis but she decided to be treated in Houston because they have medicine that will take effect on her without the allergic reactions.

Kris is allergic to steroids, the treatment for her autoimmune conditions. Her doctors in the country fear that if she won’t be treated, she’ll suffer from organ damage.

And now, in her latest update, she shared that her physical manifestations all lead now to developing a fifth one which is unfortunate. But amid everything, she remained positive and optimistic because of her sons. She is also “grateful to be blessed to have the means for them to move to another state, and have more tests done and go to other specialists”.

In the same post, Kris mentioned about going through “chemotherapy as her immunosuppressant”. This way, they can prevent damages to the healthy tissues and healthy cells of her body.

She clarified that she doesn’t have cancer and it is the safest form for her conditions. Moreover, the procedure will make her lose her hair but they will eventually grow back. She expressed, “Hair will eventually grow back but permanently damaged organs won’t- so dedma muna sa vanity.”

Meanwhile, if not because of her sons, she would have given up already. She struggle suffering from fatigue, being bedridden for a long time now, appearance of bruises, inability to tolerate solid food, headaches, bone deep pain in her spine, knees, and joints in herfingers, and constant flares.
