Borbon Baker Suffers Wounds After Being Stabbed For Mocking Some Disco-Goers’ Wrong Dance Moves

A baker from Borbon town in northern Cebu has been stabbed for allegedly mocking the wrong dance moves of some disco-goers.

On Monday (September 5, 2022), the 32-year-old baker identified as Jesse Luceno attended a small disco in Sitio Pitogo, Barangay Poblacion past 11 pm, according to Police Staff Sergeant Raffe Tejares of the Borbon Police Station

According to preliminary investigations, Tejares said that the incident started when the victim allegedly made fun of other disco goers for using improper dance moves, which the suspects found offensive.

“According to our initial findings, the victim pointed out to the group where the suspects belong that their dance steps were incorrect,” Tejares said.

Luceno was traveling home when at least three individuals blocked his path and started stabbing him in various locations around his body. In order to get an ambulance to take Luceno to a neighboring hospital, other disco goers and witnesses helped the victim.

All three suspects have been located and taken into custody by police. They are Bernard James Modequillo, Ezel Doronio, and Pablo Doronio Jr. The three individuals are currently being detained at the Borbon Police Station as complaints of frustrated homicide are being filed against them.

Borbon is a fourth-class municipality located approximately 76 kilometers north of Cebu City.

The incident might serve as a lesson to the public to avoid making fun of others and observe precautionary measures in public places.
