Last July 28, Kapuso actress Maine Mendoza and Kapamilya actor Arjo Atayde got engaged and everything about it was magical and ideal. Both are supported by their families, and despite the grandeur, one detail that people did not skip notice is the sincerity of both of them.
In a previous article, Arjo’s sister, Ria Atayde, expressed that her brother is someone who always has grand gestures and so far, this is her favorite. July 28 is an iconic date in their relationship. On July 28, 2013, Maine tweeted “Arjo cutie” and on July 28, 2018, he and Maine Mendoza met for the first time.
“The way he loves and cares for me parang sobra and sometimes I really ask the Lord what have I done to deserve this kind of love,” the Eat Bulaga host shared speaking about how Arjo loves and takes care of her.
And just recently, the Kapuso host shared the full heartwarming video of the proposal and every bit of it was well-planned by Arjo. According to Maine, she was told to have a magazine photoshoot. There was never a time that it occurred to her she’ll be going to be asked by him to marry him.
Maine, sweetly, expressed this message for her fiance, “I’ve always prayed to find a man who’s gonna love me for who I am and then you came. I just want to thank you for loving me the way you do. I want to thank you for being you, for loving my family, for loving my friends, and for loving me.”
Looking back at the start of their relationship, Arjo said in the video that their family got a lot of punches but was glad that they made it through. Arjo got emotional during the proposal and that one magical moment was wrapped up with a fireworks display.
