Hardworking Man Earns Praises For Attending Classes During Daytime & Works as Grab Rider Every Night
A 52-year-old man earned praises from the online community for attending his classes during the daytime and working as a Grab driver during the nighttime.
The Facebook page “The Daily Presentr” has shared photos of a hardworking man who works as a Grab rider at night and attends classes during the daytime. The post garnered praises and admiration online.
In the photo, it can be seen that the hardworking man identified as Benjie Estillore has been holding a note showing his grade, section, and room. The latter also received a certificate of recognition for the school year 2021-2022.
Estillore is a Grade 12 student at BENIGNO “NINOY” S. AQUINO HIGH SCHOOL. The picture has been taken during his first day in school as Grade 12.
Benjie who has been working as a Grab driver has decided to return to school during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic way back in 2020. He made the decision after realizing the importance of education.
“Mahalaga sa akin edukasyon kahit may edad na po ako,” Estillore said.
The Grab employee is planning to take a course in political science because he loves to do public service.
“Mahilig kasi po ako sa public service, isa pa, kapag ibang kurso ang kinuha ko baka hindi na ako matanggap sa trabaho,” Benjie added.
The driver also encouraged the public to value education and those who wish to go back in school have still the chance to reach their dreams. “Kung gusto nila mag-aral wala pong imposible, dahil ‘yung edukasyon ay tuloy tuloy po yun at libre,” the man said.
