Earlier, the police authorities found the alleged remains of Jovelyn Galleno in Sto. Pulang Lupa, Brgy. Sta. Lourdes in Palawan together with her belongings and identification cards. Her remains have been found after one of the suspects give details regarding Jovelyn’s location.

The Philippines National Police will still conduct an autopsy and DNA test to determine whether the body is owned by Jovelyn or not. The victim’s family also confirmed that the items and identification cards were owned by Galleno.

According to the reports, the primary suspects were Jovelyn’s first cousins identified as Leobert Dasmariñas who just served as the lookout while his other cousin Jovert Valdestamon is molesting the victim.

Recently, the Medicolegal Officer of the City Health Department identified as Dr. Eunice Herrera shared her opinion regarding the body found in Sta. Lourdes. Her statement earned various reactions from the netizens.

Herrera who performed numerous autopsies doubts that the body is owned by Galleno. She explained that body decomposition may take a lot of time and process given the weather condition and other factors.

“From doctor’s point of view who at the same time act as medicolegal officer who conducted numerous autopsies…wala pong ganito kabilis na 2 wks lng bungo at kalansay na agad?may certain days,weeks and months bago nadedecay ang body kahit pa iconsider natin ang weather condition ngayon na ulan at init.dapat nasa stage of decomposition palang yan since 2 weeks palang naman nawawala.ano2 parts ba ang nakita?kase madalas dna buo ang body kase tinatangay na ng mga hayop yan esp mga aso.at mangangamoy talaga dapat yan kse nga 2 weeks palang.san na pala mga damit nya?bakit puro IDs lng?ang damit madalas nareretrieve un sa crime scene at di un nabubulok basta2 esp na 2 weeks palang eto…haistttttt    …mapapa- WoW ka nalang talaga.. ”
