The Ember by Josh Boutwood is a must-see new place in Greenbelt!
EMBER BY JOSH BOUTWOOD – Josh Boutwood’s “Ember” is a new restaurant in Greenbelt and what you can expect from this.
Chef Boutwood is famous in the field and he owns some of the best spots to visit in the metro such as The Test Kitchen and Savage. In The Test Kitchen, he serves some of his dishes with his playful touches and clever compositions. And in Savage, he explored by serving meals cooked in charcoal, wood, and fire.
And his newest establishment is called “Ember” – a cross of his two establishments. It is located in G/F Greenbelt 3, Makati City, beside Starbucks. For reservations, you contact them through this number: +63 916 420-1600.
Here’s the schedule of their operations:
- Monday to Thursday – 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
- Friday – 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
- Saturday – 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.
- Sunday – 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
The place isn’t intimidating and once you entered, you will be welcomed by a counter table for a front seat view of the action. It has a one-page menu categorized into small plates like tapas, large plates like family sharing dishes, side plates, and sweets.
For drinks, they also offer beer, cocktails, red wine, white wine, and many others. They also have ribeye and striploin steaks.
The chef himself said that they are “serving humble, delicious, and uncomplicated food”.
Delight yourself with dishes like Raw Tuna, Avocado, Tapioca (Php 550.00); Pork, Raisin, Carrot (Php 1,250.00); Black Onyx Rib-Eye (P7,550/25 ounces); Short Rib, Onion, Wasabi (Php 1,950.00); Carrot, Honey, All Spice (Php 225.00); Pickled Cucumbers (Php 195.00); Salmon, Watercress, Flying Fish Roe (Php 1,295.00); and Turbot, Brown Butter, Caper (Php 2,750.00).
For the sweets, you may also try Kladdkaka a.k.a. their sticky Swedish chocolate cake for only Ph 200.00 per slice and Tres Leches for Php 395.00 with a smoked caramel to devour.
