What does Kylie Padilla feel about being a single mother and being an actress at the same time?
KYLIE PADILLA – Famous Kapuso model and actress, Kylie Padilla has this confession about her life now as a single mom.
On 2021, married celebrity couple Kylie Padilla and Aljur Abrenica announced and confirmed their separation. The confirmation came hastily after Robin Padilla, Kylie’s father candidly talked about this during an interview.
Kylie and Aljur have two sons, Alas and Axl. They are co-parenting and it seems like this set-up is working well for both of them. After their separation, Kylie went back to working as an actress. She has a television series currently airing and an upcoming film with Gerald Anderson which was shot in Switzerland.
And just recently, talking about her life now as a 28-year-old woman juggling her life as a single mother and an actress, she revealed that she had a lot of discoveries. Initially, she had this “mom guilt” feeling inside because she was leaving her sons for work. She doubted herself at first if she can actually survive as a single mom to her two little boys.
“But, as a single working mom, nakikita ko kapag nandiyan na yung reward. Siyempre, mas nabibigyan ko sila ng magandang buhay if I work. May sacrifice talaga,” she expressed.
Accordingly, she knows better now. She is now aware of the sacrifices she has to make in order to give them a better life. She can now “see the bigger picture” because at present, she dreams to buy their own home and she can only achieve it if she works.
Being able to work is a blessing because not everyone can do it. She said based on a report from PEP, “So, yun siguro ang natutunan ko. As a working mom, it’s really a blessing to be able to work kasi not every mom can do that.”
