Kapamilya actress Jane de Leon is the newest Darna of the most famous Mars Ravelo’s comic series superheroine. And opposite her is Janella Salvador playing “Valentina”, the archnemesis of Darna. In a previous article, former Darna star Vilma Santos gave her blessing to her and expressed an inspiring message.
“Mars Ravelo’s Darna: The TV Series” has already taken its first flight. The pilot episode showed and explained the hows and whys of the story. And apart from Darna, the viewers are also looking forward to meeting Valentina whose alter human ego is Regina, a lawyer who fights corruption.
And Salvador, in one of her recent interviews, shared something about how she and Jane have built their friendship. Accordingly, their closeness did not happen in an instant because they were both introverts. They exerted effort to be friends.
And on her part, she also wanted to get to know her as it would also be an advantage since they are working in the same series.
“Like I said nagba-bonding kami. We watch movies together, tapos nagfu-food trip kami after taping, okay naman so far. Pareho kaming old soul. Mahilig din siya sa old songs, old movies,” Salvador said.
Janella is no longer a newbie in the industry but Jane is. Actually, when it was first announced that she will be the new Darna, many people doubted her. She criticized and all the negative comments have affected her. But in the long run, she was able to understand it all and what she just assured the people is that she will do her best in playing the Darna role.
