Pinoy pride! The famous Jollibee fried chicken is the “Best Fried Chicken” in the US.
JOLLIBEE FRIED CHICKEN – The crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside fried chicken of Jollibee is the best in the United States.
Chickenjoy is a part of everyone’s childhood and remained their favorite even if they are adults already. In the Philippines, the Jollibee chicken is most people’s go-to food and some are even craving it. This food has addicting features like crispy outside and juicy and tasty on the inside.
And according to Vox Media’s food website Eater, it is named the best fast-food fried chicken in America. The site rounded up 16 fried chicken chains in the US and below are the categories:
- Bones (classic fried chicken)
- No Bones (nuggets, tenders, etc.)
- Sandwiched (fried chicken sandwiches)
- Sauced (fried chicken dishes paired with sauces)
For the bones category PH’s most famous fast-food won in the Bones category beating out South Korea’s Bonchon in the final round. Deputy Editor Lesley Suter of the website said, “The subtly seasoned skin is as tectonically crunchy as advertised, if loosely attached in such a way as to be able to slide off an entire hunk with one bite.”
He is also impressed with the gravy which matches the chicken itself making it “more than just an optional dunk”.
Apart from Bonchon, the famous bee also competed with other famous fast-food restos like Popeyes, KFC, Church’s, Wendy’s, McDonald’s, Burger King, White Castle, Chick-fil-A, Shake Shack, Fuku, Bojangles, Wingstop, Panda Express, and Del Taco.
In North America, Jollibee has 83 stores and over 1,500 restaurants worldwide.
