DCPO Releases Statement Regarding Cop on Viral Street Food Post
STREET FOOD POST – The Davao City Police Office (DCPO) is currently investigating the cop on the viral street food post.
The Facebook page “DXDN 103.3 Max FM Midsayap Official” reported that the police authorities have launched an investigation against the police officer in a viral street food post. The post garnered various reactions from the netizens.
DCPO spokesperson Police Major Ma. Teresita Gaspan said that the authorities have been reviewing the closed-circuit television or CCTV footage to locate and identify the police officer.
The suspect takes numerous street foods but did not allegedly pay for his orders. Gaspan also assured the public that the management would not tolerate such behavior.
On Tuesday (August 9, 2022), a netizen named Angelica Almaden said that a patrol car in front of a stall selling different kinds of street foods. The vendor put some street foods inside of a plastic bag and gave them to the cop.
However, the policeman even asked for extra hotdogs and dip before leaving the area after receiving the goods.
Almaden has expressed her disappointment to the police officer. She also discovered that it has been the cop’s routine.
Recently, the Davao City Police Office clarified that the street food stall is managed by PCpl Lad, a member of DCPO’s Mobile Patrol Unit during that time. The cops had already paid the order before patrolling and Almaden arrived.
