Online Shoppers Reminded to Read Reviews First Before Making Orders
The experts reminded online shoppers to read reviews first before making orders to avoid being scammed.
Technology editor Art Samaniego instructed the public to conduct a background check and strictly review the products they were planning to purchase. Most sellers were posting good-quality products in the photos.
Samaniego urged the public to read reviews first before making orders and check the account of the seller. The latter explained that these methods can help Filipino people from being a victim of scams.
“Mayroon kasi talagang mga reviews na nagsasabi kung ano ang experience. So wag kang basta basta maniniwala kapag nakita mo na ang ganda ng picture ang ganda ng pagkakamarketing pero basahin mo yung review at taong naging customer na nung product,” Samaniego said.
The latter said that buyers should hesitate once they found the newly-made accounts, which exist for days. He explained that reading reviews is one of the most effective ways to avoid scams.
“Tinitingnan ko kung sino nagrereview. And if 3 days pa lang ang account niya medyo may question. Tingnan mo kung na tao ang nagrereview. So yun lang isa sa mga dapat gawin. Magbasa ng review,” Samaniego.
Truelogic official Ibarra Villaseran said that online shoppers have the responsibility to give reviews on products to protect other buyers.
“Since I benefited from their reviews I feel compelled para yung iba rin maglagay para they are reassured and they know what to expect so nagcocontribute ako… Make sure you are truthful kasi you will impact the livelihood or business or somebody,” Villaseran explained.
