US President Joe Biden in Isolation due to COVID-19

US PRESIDENT JOE BIDEN – 79-year-old United States President Joe Biden tested positive for COVID-19 disease.

The COVID-19 pandemic has greatly affected several countries across the globe. It took millions of lives and brought big changes to several nations. Borders had to be closed by some countries for quite some time to fight the spread of the virus.

Furthermore, limitations were implemented on the mobility of the people and proper health protocols including the wearing of face masks and the practice of social distancing were mandated. Several businesses closed amid the series of lockdowns and the economies of several nations greatly suffered from the pandemic.

The United States is one of the countries that recorded the highest cases of COVID-19. The pandemic is not yet over and the World Health Organization (WHO) reminded that it is “nowhere near over” amid the loosening of the restrictions in several nations.

Recently, the White House confirmed that US President Joe Biden tested positive for COVID-19. Based on a report on Inquirer, the 79-year-old Chief Executive who is the oldest person have assumed the position in the United States government is now in isolation.

Despite testing positive for COVID and experiencing some symptoms, US President Joe Biden will continue working while in isolation. According to White House physician Kevin O’Connor, the President as started taking the antiviral treatment Paxlovid.

The U.S. President also assured the public in a Twitter post that he is “doing well”. He is fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and had received the booster shots twice. He also expressed that he is “getting a lot of work done and will continue with his duties.
