HIPON GIRL – The cost of Herlene Nicole “Hipon Girl” Budol’s Higantes-inspired national costume in Binibining Pilipinas 2022 revealed.
Herlene Nicole Budol, also known as “Hipon Girl” is one of the semi-finalists of the Binibining Pilipinas 2022. In an IG post, the comedian-host opened up that she could not help but get emotional after being one of the top 40.
The 22-year-old aspiring beauty queen is representing Angono, Rizal. The coronation night will be held on July 31 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City. It will be hosted by beauty queens Catriona Gray and Nicole Cordoves.
The Binibining Pilipinas 2022 candidates will be competing for four (4) titles: Bb. Pilipinas Intercontinental, Bb. Pilipinas Grand International, Bb. Pilipinas Globe, and Bb. Pilipinas International.
The national costume competition is one of the most-anticipated segments in the pageant and none of the delegates came to disappoint. Their costumes comprise ornate dresses, accessories, and headpieces that depict the roots of the candidate’s rich culture and history.
Hipon’s national costume in the national pageant earned some buzz on social media. She wore a costume inspired by the Higantes Festival designed by Patrick Isorena.

Angono, Rizal is the home of the ‘Higantes Festival’ and is also known as the “Art Capital of the Philippines.” Herlene Nicole Budol’s National Costume for Binibining Pilipinas costs P300,000. This is according to Wilbert Tolentino’s released vlog about Hipon’s national costume. She wore the Giants costume on Saturday, July 16 at the New Frontier Theater in Quezon City.
Hipon’s talent manager said they used fiberglass for the face of the giant figure. Herbert Ebok Pinpiño, who is said to be one of the well-known artists in Angono, also designed the national costume.
