Cops Arrest Suspect For Stabbing Neighbor Who Did Not Cellphone Repair
The police authorities arrested a suspect after stabbing his neighbor due to a quarrel over cellphone repair.
The police officers arrested the suspect identified as Rico Espina and his colleague at Barangay San Isidro-Antipolo for killing his neighbor named Alvin Alvero last April 2020. The incident happened because of a cellphone repair feud.
CIDG-Rizal deputy provincial officer Police Lieutenant Melchor Muñoz said that the suspect stabbed the victim multiple times in different parts of his body, which leads to his untimely death.
“Nagtamo siya ng multiple stab wounds dito sa ibat ibang bahagi ng katawan. Yung kasama niya nahuli na,” Muñoz said.
According to the police investigation, the suspects went to Alvero who is working as a technician, and asked him to repair his mobile phone. Unfortunately, the victim failed to finish the repairs.
The suspect held a grudge against Alvero, which was the main reason why he stabbed the victim.
However, Espina denied the accusations against him and explained that he just tried to stop Alvero from raging. The latter reportedly got upset and pointed a gun at Espina.
“Sa taranta ko, hindi ko alam kung shotgun, may kutsilyo ako nabunot ko sinabayan ko na, Patawarin niyo na ako at saka kung ano man ang kahilingan nila kung kakayanin ko hanggat magkano ang hilingin nila bibigyan ko sila, pagiipunan ko po,” Espina said.
The victim’s father Ferdie Alvero will pursue the case against Espina after losing his family member. He claimed that the suspect may commit another crime if he will be released.
