Malacañang Speaks on President Bongbong Marcos Now Following Isolation

Malacañang Gives Update on Pres. Bongbong Marcos

MALACAÑANG – The Palace spoke on the condition of President Bongbong Marcos now following his 7-day isolation.

A few weeks after the Elections 2022, an increase in the daily recorded COVID-19 cases in the Philippines was noted. Several other countries across the globe also recorded higher cases of the virus. The World Health Organization (WHO) even expects an increase in the cases in the countries in Europe this summer.

In PH, most of the cities are under Alert Level 1, the loosest quarantine measure. The Department of Health (DOH) continuously reminds the public to observe the proper health protocols.

In the early months of the pandemic in 2020, Marcos Jr. was one of the high-profile politicians who contracted the disease. He just came from a trip to Spain then when he battled the disease. It was a long recovery for him.

Last July 8, Malacañang announced that Pres. Bongbong Marcos tested positive for COVID-19 in the antigen test. He had to undergo 7-day isolation as per the protocol for vaccinated individuals. Then, he had a slight fever but the Palace assured that the 64-year-old President was doing fine.

Marcos Jr. recovered fast from COVID-19. The symptoms vanished in just a few days and continue working amid the isolation through virtual meetings with his Cabinet members.

Recently, Pres. Bongbong Marcos finished his 7-day isolation. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, Malacañang assured that the President is “okay” based on the findings of his doctor. He is closely monitored by his lead physician, Dr. Samuel Zacate.

A day before his 7-day isolation ended, Marcos Jr. was already reported to be symptom-free. Despite having no signs of COVID-19, his doctor told him to finish his 7-day isolation.
