BLACKWATER – Here’s Blackwater’s statement regarding Agatha Uvero’s allegations against her ex-fiance Paul Desiderio.

Paul Desiderio is a Pinoy professional basketball player for the Blackwater Bossing of the Philippine Basketball Association. He was engaged to Jean Agatha Uvero, a UAAP courtside reporter.

Agatha and Paul have a son, Juan Andres. Last June, Agatha revealed that she and the basketball player have parted ways.

Agatha Uverao revealed on Wednesday, July 13, that Paul Desiderio physically and emotionally abused her throughout their relationship. She said that her ex-partner punched, kicked, and hit her during their relationship, even when she was 2 months pregnant with their son.

In a previous article, the PBA issued a statement, saying it will not condone any form of domestic abuse. The league also said that they will “conduct an inquiry and hand down its findings and resolution as soon as the facts are clearly established.”

On Wednesday, Blackwater released a statement after Agatha Evero’s controversial post. The team refrained from making any comment on their player. It also said that they will launch a probe if Paul gives consent.

“We respect the personal life and privacy of our players unless they seek our help and assistance. We reserve the right to comment on any social media posts especially if they are unverified…”

“If the allegations were true and the concerned player consents, then we will look into it and possibly come out with our position.”

The team, however, made their stance on violence against women and children clear.

“Definitely, we abhor any and all forms of violence against women and children. Women and children deserve nothing less of our love and respect,” the team concluded.
