Pokwang clarifies rumors surrounding her breakup with Lee O’Brian
Kapuso comedienne Pokwang reacted to the accusation that her former partner Lee O’Brian is just a “palamunin.”
Pokie’s and Lee’s breakup became a trending topic on social media these past few days. After the breakup confirmation that she did through her social media post, more questions and allegations surfaced.
The comedienne said that it has been seven months since the breakup happened which confirmed the prior statement of her friend talent manager-vlogger Ogie Diaz that the breakup transpired in November 2021.
Following the breakup, speculations surfaced about the reason behind the breakup. It was alleged that Pokwang’s former partner is “tamad” and that her family is against him.
In a recent report by GMA entertainment reporter Nelson Canlas, Pokwang clarified the accusations against Lee O’Brian. When asked why it took her so long to open up about this, she became emotional. Pokie said that as much as she can, she wants to carry the burden on her own. However, she realized that the role of her family is to share that burden with her.
The comedienne also admitted that it hurts her when she hears people would say that Lee is “palamunin.” “Nasasaktan lang ako sa mga nababasa ko, kesyo palamunin ko raw. Masipag po yung tao,” she stressed.
Pokie also clarified that there was no third party involved and the breakup was not about money. She pointed out that they were both “napagod.” The comedienne also said that Lee is a good man and a good father.
Pokwang also shared that she is thankful to have projects that would keep her busy right now. She said that she and Lee will continue to be good parents to their daughter Malia.
