Zanjoe Marudo looks back at his career
Kapamilya actor Zanjoe Marudo shared how he wants to be remembered in showbiz or the legacy he wants to leave.
Zanjoe has been in the industry for almost two decades now and he has proven his worth as an actor. In a recent interview for the Star Magic Tour abroad, the Kapamilya leading man shared that he is excited to perform again after a long time, based on the article in Bandera.
“Nakakatuwa ito dahil ito yung trabaho na parang walang pressure na nararamdaman. Parang hindi ka nape-pressure, parang gustong gusto mo na pumunta, gusto mo na gawin, gusto mo na mag-perform para ma-meet yung mga tao, yung mga kababayan natin,” Zanjoe Marudo said.
When asked about the most unforgettable Star Magic Tour that he did, the actor said that it was the first time that he did his stint with her friends in Coverboys. That was the first time also for him to go to the States. It has been 16 years ago already.
He also shared his advice to younger Star Magic stars. Zanjoe stressed that this stint could be tiring because they would carry their own luggage and they don’t have PAs with them. However, he said that this will be okay because they will help each other. The actor also reminded the younger generation of artists to enjoy and have fun.
Then, Zanjoe was also asked about the legacy that he wants to leave in the entertainment industry. “Siguro sa every character na gagawin ko, bad, good, or kung ano man yan, sana makapag-inspire. Sana makaiwan ako ng lesson sa lahat ng mga characters na gagawin ko,” he said.
Zanjoe Marudo added that wherever his career would lead him, he wants people to remember him as a simple “probinsyano” who was able to reach his dream because of his “pakikisama, ng pakikinig at willing matuto.”
